Burn Sports Performance Programs are crafted by experts, not by computers.  We use the following functional and developmental principles which are based in Human Movement Science and Athletic Conditioning:

  • Assessment before Training
  • Periodization Plans from 24 hr to 12 month
  • Systematic and Progressive
  • Prehab before Rehab
  • Performance before Aesthetics
  • Train Movements, not Muscles
  • Isolation before Integration
  • Postural Alignment and Muscle Balance
  • Movement Skills before Sport Specific Skills
  • Functional Strength and Performance
  • Core Strength before Extremity Strength
  • Body Weight before External Resistance
  • Joint Integrity before Joint Mobility
  • Stability before Strength
  • Strength before Power
  • Intelligence, not Ignorance

To enhance performance, reduce risk of injury and reach your potential, you must train specifically for the demands of your position, for your sport and address your individual strengths & weaknesses.

Performing a trick on a motocross bike that’s flying through the air is not the same as driving a race car at 200 mph for 300 miles, which is not the same as explosively swinging a baseball bat at a small ball that’s traveling 90 mph, which is totally different than being able to last several 5 minute rounds in a mixed martial arts fight, which needs to be trained differently than sprinting at top speed while other athletes are trying to tackle you.  Women are not Men.  Kids are not mini-adults.  Successful Training and Nutrition for athletes is highly individualized.  Most programs are nothing more than generic templates that are based in bodybuilding and include aerobics, neither of which prepare an athlete for the demands of most sports.  The science and art of developing champions requires a scientific, systematic and progressive approach that is designed for each individual athlete, regardless of sport.
